The old marmalade cat was always waiting outside our back door, which we loved. The place has a calm, friendly community feel, and we were made very welcome. Our wheelchair accessible apartment had a kitchen with everything we needed, two single beds in the bedroom, and a sofa bed. We also enjoyed sitting at the outdoor table overlooking the fields and horse stables. The setting is lovely, with horses in the fields and nature all around, and a small, quiet beach nearby. Putbus, Binz, Prora, and other places are reachable by car. The toilet and shower were in a large wet room, so after showering the whole floor was wet and slippery. A rubber mat by the toilet and basin would help. Wi-Fi / WLan barely worked most of the time, not even enough to load one webpage, which made trip planning difficult. Towels aren’t included. Apart from that, it’s a very nice place to stay.

We came to Ferienhof by chance. All the rooms and bungalows were full, so we decided to spend the night sleeping in hay. It was a great experience we hadn't expected. We weren't prepared, but the owner found sleeping bags for us. If you have allergies, there's no need to worry, as the hay is specially prepared to be allergy-free.

We had a spacious, comfortable double room, and the slide beside the hotel was a fun feature. You can take it down from the second floor. The downside for us was having no kitchen to cook in.

The terrace breakfast was generous, and especially nice in good weather. Sleeping in hay may not suit everyone, but the idea has been thoughtfully put together here, with a bit more sanitary comfort than you'd usually expect.

The area around the palace is beautiful, and the nearby Pferdenhof is really nice too. The palace itself is lovely, but our apartment was very dirty and smelled bad. We skipped breakfast because the price seemed far too high. Sadly, the woman on the phone wouldn't give us information about the Pferdehof, so our daughter couldn't ride. They don't offer rides on Sundays, and by Saturday it was too late to book.
