The location was fantastic, but I expected more from somewhere rated four stars. The hotel felt dated, from the uninspiring interior to my large room, which had an odd layout and no elevator access. Staff were inhospitable. I didn't expect English, but a greeting or a smile would've been nice. Breakfast was dull and bland. They said construction meant there was no parking, yet spaces were available all three nights. I had to leave the car a 15-minute walk away, though at least parking there was free.

The rooms were spacious and fine, though nothing special. There was no A/C, but we didn't need it. The front desk staff didn't speak any English. Breakfast was good, though pretty standard. We ate at the restaurant once during our stay. It was okay, except for the potatoes, which had a disgusting, weird jelly-like texture.

We were lucky to get one of the limited parking spots, though it was a few blocks down the street. The location in town was great, and breakfast was good. The person who welcomed us was nice and helpful, though I can't say the same for the rest of the staff. We were disappointed that the whirlpool wasn't working during our stay.

We were there for a small wedding, and the room we booked was a good size and close to the kitchen, so the wait staff could bring things quickly when asked. The next day's breakfast was pretty good, with plenty of seats and options: basic German fare like cheese, meats, bread, jams, butter, coffee, and some scrambled eggs. The hotel was clean and neat throughout. My favorite bit was the little bar downstairs, with low stone ceilings that made it feel like a castle.

I did like the hotel, but it felt too expensive for what we got. The bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, there was no room cleaning service, and daily parking on site cost 12 euros. Breakfast was fine, and the staff serving it were very nice. Great location in town.
