We had a wonderful three-night stay at Hotel Zum Bär in early December while visiting the Quedlinburg Weihnachtsmarkt. The room was comfortable and very clean, and breakfast had a wide choice of delicacies. Everyone was attentive and friendly, from the front desk and housekeeping to the dining and kitchen staff. Thank you, Hotel Zum Bär, for making our visit so enjoyable. Keep up the outstanding hospitality!

The hotel sits right in the center of Quedlinburg, but nights were still quiet. We got lovely, attentive service, including plenty of chocolate for Easter, and the breakfast buffet had fresh cappuccino. It also works well for dogs and kids. Free parking is about 100 m away at Pölle 4, through a small gate into the courtyard.

We weren't staying at the hotel, so we had breakfast outside, which was fine in the lovely weather. For €14.50, you get the full buffet, with lots of local, traditional flavors. It felt like a real taste of German food. This may look like Quedlinburg's biggest tourist spot, the kind of place you'd normally avoid, but breakfast here is absolutely worth a visit.

We stayed for three nights and really liked it. Our room was nice and quiet, breakfast was very good, and the people were lovely. I can't explain the negative reviews. I did read that the hotel had changed owners, though.

Dinner on the terrace was great, with a lovely setting, very friendly staff, and tasty food at fair prices. We tried the Creamy-Tomate Soup and Schnitzel, and the portions were generous. I'd happily stay here for a few days next time. I'm sure it'll be worth every penny.
