Breakfast was good, and I especially liked the hot cocoa. The room was tidy and had a pleasant view from the window. Good value for the price.

The breakfast buffet was perfectly adequate, and the rooms are spacious and clean. They do feel dated, though, and could use fresh paint. It’s a quiet spot, with lovely countryside views from some rooms. Just check that you’re not on the entrance side: during our stay, people smoked outside the door every hour for half the night and argued loudly. It was really annoying.

The terrace has a lovely view over the Ore Mountains, and the house feels warm and cozy. The staff have always been friendly and very accommodating. Food quality, unfortunately, varies a lot, from excellent to terrible. At a large party it was a complete flop, which was embarrassing for the host. Parties happening alongside conferences can also make the place quite crowded.

The food took a normal amount of time to arrive, and the prices were reasonable. We had a pleasant dinner, with a really lovely and attentive server. It’s German cuisine. The chef must have been in love... even so, I’d clearly recommend the place.
