The Wuppertal Dam is an easy walk from here, and the hotel's quiet countryside setting is great for walking. Our newly renovated studio was nicely furnished, with really comfortable beds. We also felt very well looked after thanks to the warm, personal service. We'd definitely come back.

The food and setting were both fantastic. We sat out on the terrace in the peace and quiet, and had delicious sushi, fried noodles, and dessert. The prices felt very fair for what we got. The waiters were clearly still learning, but that didn't bother us. Everyone has to start somewhere.

We were after a quiet two-day break within 100 km, somewhere remote and close to water. This place almost fit the bill. We had good communication when booking and checking in, though there was a short wait. The room was very new, clean, and freshly furnished, and at first it seemed to have everything we needed. The bathroom is tiny, but still usable for an average-sized man. A few things could use work, though the hotel is still under construction. Without air conditioning, we had to keep the window open, and the north curve of the Bergische Rennstrecke is right outside. The speeding motorcycles and sports cars were hard to explain otherwise. A 50 km/h limit and a speed camera would help, though that's not the hotel's fault. The mattresses are very soft, which could be uncomfortable depending on what you're used to. Breakfast arrives outside the room promptly at 7 a.m., which is convenient. But eating comfortably in the room as a couple is difficult, and I won't say much about the bread roll quality. The price doesn't feel right for what's offered. A buffet with regional food, more choice, and a nicer atmosphere could work better, even at €15. The hotel is okay as it is. With some improvements, would we return? Maybe.

After a lovely day out cycling, we finished at the highly recommended restaurant. The room was clean and had a good climate, and the location worked well for excursions and bike rides. We got a friendly welcome, and they proactively offered us covered parking with an outlet for our e-bikes.
