Really nice.

The cheese selection is a real highlight, and the Adler has a great range of wines. The host is a multi-award-winning sommelier who’s always happy to help with a choice. The food blends French influences with local flavors, and the fish and meat are outstanding. I’ve been coming back to the Adler in Rammingen for years, and it’s become a regular ritual. Jan Bimboes and his team are consistently wonderful hosts. The cuisine, service, and friendly atmosphere have stayed at the same high level, whether I’m there for lunch or a larger event. It always feels relaxed while still being professional. A lovely place to feel at ease and enjoy yourself.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the room felt clean and cozy, with nicely set tables. My dog was brought water right away and looked after throughout the meal. That professional, accommodating attitude continued even after we shared our criticism, and we were still given a friendly farewell. It showed real character. The food didn’t live up to the restaurant’s high stated standards, which made lunch especially disappointing since we’d been looking forward to it. The cured Arctic char starter tasted okay, but €16 for two tiny strips felt extremely meager. The pike-perch fillet was overcooked, and its beurre blanc was runny, bland, and barely like a classic butter sauce. The vegetables were fresh, had a nice bite, and weren’t overcooked. For me, the price-performance ratio wasn’t right. I hope the food quality comes to better match the price and the restaurant’s reputation. I’d still give it another chance.
