The breakfast was generous and good, and we enjoyed the evening food in the beer garden too. The staff were polite and had a good sense of humor. Our room was always thoughtfully made up by the housekeeper, with everything we needed there. It’s a quiet, cozy place in a good location, with simple but comfortable rooms. Step outside and you can reach several lovely walking trails and sights within minutes. I’d definitely recommend it.

We spent most of the day relaxing in the inviting beer garden, enjoying good food and cold drinks in the lovely weather. Indoors, the place feels rustic and cozy. The food was delicious and plentiful, breakfast included, and the friendly staff had a dry sense of humor that often made us laugh. The landlady was fantastic, warm, funny, friendly, and accommodating, and we liked her right away. It was our first visit, and we felt very comfortable. The rooms are bright, spacious, and clean. The bathroom is a little small but works fine. I did miss having a small shelf or stool for laundry or somewhere to sit while drying off, but it’s not a big deal. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We’ll definitely come back.

After long days out hiking, it was nice to come back to a simple, comfortable, very clean room. Breakfast was plentiful, varied, and kept topped up, while dinner was excellent home-style food. The whole team was friendly and attentive, both in the restaurant at night and over breakfast in the morning. We booked a double room fairly spontaneously for a multi-day hiking trip and were happy with our choice. The location is fantastic for reaching lots of trails on foot, and there’s a bus stop right outside for farther walks or trips to Berchtesgaden. We’d love to return.

There were four of us, and we tried a few different dishes from the menu. The food was delicious, and the drinks selection was worth mentioning too. If hearty pub food is what you’re after, this place is a good choice. Great service as well.
