The rooms are small and pretty basic, but the high ceilings make them feel less cramped. Everything essential was there, the heating was strong, and the shared kitchens were very spacious. The room and bathrooms were completely clean, too, and the price is great for getting to FKB Airport. My check-in was after reception had closed, but I sorted it out easily by phone with the host and picked up my key from the coded lockers on site. For an early flight, there’s a bus stop, though the bus doesn’t run on Sundays or holidays. Otherwise, you can walk about 1 km to Rastatt Bahnhof, take a regional train one stop to Baden Baden, then catch the X-bus one stop to the airport. The trip went smoothly, but check the train and bus times first. For a Schengen flight with Ryan air, arriving around 1-1.5 hours before departure was enough, even at Easter.
