Altstadtflair

A cute little apartment right in Regensburg's old town, and I'd recommend staying there any day :) Nights can be noisy, though. I guess sleep doesn't matter much on vacation :P

I was charged for three nights even though I spent less than 15 minutes in the apartment, and Booking asked for the money back on my behalf. The owner still kept it. I've traveled a lot and never felt so robbed. I found the place filthy and smelling of cigarettes, with beer bottles, dirty towels dumped on the table, an unmade bed, and rubbish everywhere. The bathroom wasn't clean either. The apartment was dark, with no curtains and old windows that let in every outside sound. Without the blinds down, anyone could look in if I wanted some light. When I called the owner to say how bad the condition was, he calmly said there may have been a mistake in the cleaning schedule and that a maid would come during the day, as though this were normal. Once I saw the mess and smelled the place, I didn't want to stay. The cleaning was their responsibility, not mine, and I think it was irresponsible of them to leave it like that.

It was cramped and poorly equipped, with no coffee machine, hard to find, and parking was awful. The ground floor was loud all night, with drunk people urinating and vomiting against the wall. Never again.

The place was spotless, and everything was perfect.
