This was my favorite hotel of the vacation. The island is beautiful, the staff are kind and helpful, and the included breakfast is excellent. The rooms were comfortable, and I loved that the windows had screens. Why are those so rare around here? It was nice to let the country air in during the evening without mosquitoes.

If you're after peace and quiet, this is the place. It's a traditional German hotel in a quiet spot, with comfortable rooms, friendly staff and a good breakfast with nice food and drinks. There's also a beer garden when the weather allows. A couple of things to know: the English isn't great, though you can get by, and there's no evening or nightlife in Reichenau apart from small, cozy restaurants.

Our room at Hotel Inselhof on Reichenau Island was modern, tastefully furnished and really clean. You could tell they pay close attention to the details. The spot right on the water is idyllic and made for a very relaxed atmosphere. The whole team were friendly, attentive and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of fresh regional products and a beautiful lake view. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would love to return.
