Hotel Zur Alten Post

The Wi-Fi is the one letdown for this price range. Otherwise, the accommodation is good, with spacious, comfortable rooms and good amenities.

A big room for parties or events, with plenty of alcohol and good food.

Really great service from the staff.

Our bowling club had 20 members and bowled regularly at Elbers for over two and a half years. Everything used to be well organized, billing was straightforward, and we felt very comfortable there. Sadly, things changed a lot after the change of ownership. There were discrepancies in the bill at our very first session under the new management. At the next one, we tried to sort it out calmly. We had carefully kept track of our drinks and could show a clear record, but the new owner wouldn't discuss it. He dismissed our notes as irrelevant and made inappropriate accusations instead. His tone was aggressive and unacceptable, which was very disappointing after all those years as customers. In the end, our whole club decided to bowl somewhere else in future. It’s a shame, because we’d been very satisfied customers for years.
