After trying for a day and a half to arrange a table, I got nowhere. I sent two online booking requests and heard nothing, then called six times without anyone picking up. They said they were short-staffed, which I understand, but it doesn't explain the complete lack of response. Customer service was inept.

Our guests and we had such a lovely day at Villa von Sayn, and we'd choose it again in a heartbeat. We celebrated our wedding there three months ago with a free-form ceremony. Mr. Rees guided us through the planning and the day itself, taking great care to make sure everything went smoothly. The team were incredibly kind and helpful on the day, and the food was exactly what we hoped for, absolutely delicious. It was a beautiful, unforgettable wedding. Thank you so much to Mr. Rees and his team.

People who came from farther away could stay overnight at the hotel, close enough to the hall to use a baby monitor, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. Our celebration at Villa von Sayn was wonderful, with everything going to plan. The room looked elegant, the buffet had lots of choice and tasted great, and our guests loved it. The service staff were friendly, and the owner checked in and helped out during the event. We could play music and party through the end of the night, and Daniel's DJ recommendation was a great find. There was a small hiccup with a few guests' room bookings: replies to their emails took a few days, and a Google search for the hotel can be confusing because of a hotel in Koblenz. As hosts, we could have explained that more clearly. Still, an easy five stars!

The people we met were friendly, but as hotel guests we didn't really feel welcome. We came to visit friends nearby, and even booking was a challenge since the phone, or reception, rarely got answered. On arrival, a friendly staff member with a dog handed us the key. Breakfast was disappointing, and the rest of the staff seemed untrained in service. Such a shame.
