This lovely guesthouse is right in the center of Rhodt unter Rietburg, in an old farmstead with six holiday apartments. The garden is beautifully laid out and lovingly cared for. Everything you might need is provided, including your own wine cabinet in the cellar. The owners are kind, welcoming, and helpful, and always happy to have a chat. We'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed in apartment 1, which had its own terrace tucked under grape and fig trees. The shared garden was lovely too, and the hosts were friendly. There's even tasty wine in the private cellar. Our apartment was cozy, spotless, fully equipped, and had a charming sleeping loft. Rodt unter Rietberg is a lively, charming town. I'd definitely come back ❤️

For a family-run place to stay, this is just right. The rooms are tidy, though not especially large, and the owners are the nicest retired couple I've ever met.

The accommodation and grounds were clean and well kept, and we got a very friendly welcome. Parking in the courtyard and access to the garden are included. The hosts were happy to help with anything we needed. Their own wine cellar, with its varied selection, was another highlight.

Our holidays at Malerwinkel begin the moment we arrive. It's our second home, and without Ms. Lähr and Mr. Otto, the Palatinate just wouldn't be quite as lovely. They're always there for a chat, to help repair a bike, or to share some figs. THANK YOU! We almost don't want to recommend the place, in case "our" apartment gets booked. Life without Malerwinkel is possible, but pointless, loosely based on Lorio. We were there again in June and October 2022, then October 2023, and have already booked for 2024!
