Handy for a stopover, with easy access to the autobahn toward Chemnitz and Dresden, just below Leipzig. Parking is spacious, there’s an elevator, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean. You can smoke on the balcony. There’s a restaurant on site, but it only serves breakfast, so this is really a bed and breakfast. A cheap place to spend the night while passing through.

The room arrangement was a pleasant surprise: five single beds across two rooms, plus a kitchen and toilet. We were three adults on a motorcycle trip for the racing at Frohburg and an historical tour. After riding 420 miles from Rotterdam, the hotel didn’t look especially impressive late at night, but we were tired and ended up being happy with the room. We stayed two nights and weren’t disappointed. Breakfast was okay too.

We left without spending the night, and there was no refund, not even for the breakfast we never had. The clerk laughed when we asked to pay by card, saying that was normal in Sweden. We’d prepaid before seeing the place. There were smashed windows and holes in the walls, and it looked like something underground. I was worried about safety. Long term guests, who seemed to be from the city’s social services, harassed our children. Our reservation was canceled before we could leave feedback, after they’d been paid, apparently to avoid a bad review. Stay away. This place needs a bulldozer to tear it down.

We booked at the last minute after getting stuck in bad weather traffic. For what we got, it felt a little expensive, though the hotel itself was okay.

The bathroom was very old and had no heater, and there was no hot water. The place was very dirty, the room smelled bad, and the price felt far too high for it.
