Terrassen-Camping am Richterbichl

We planned to stay 11 nights, but ended up extending to 18 because we were having such a brilliant time. The site is very clean, the pitches are excellent, and there’s plenty of space for touring campers despite quite a few permanent pitches. Everyone was friendly and helpful, the staff were amazing, and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Fantastic site, and we’ll definitely be back. The meals were excellent, and our male waiter was lovely and friendly. The washrooms were very clean too. The kitchen doesn’t open until 6, so there was no chance of getting a pre-dinner drink 15 minutes earlier. A staff member with an attitude just told us, “come back at 6,” even though locals were at the bar and a barman was on duty. We ended up having our pre-dinner drink in our m/h.

We really liked the family-friendly atmosphere and excellent service, and the local people were very friendly. The campsite is in a small, cozy town, and we were lucky to catch a local festival with a band and Bavarian food. We had a tent, three people, and a car. There’s a children’s area with a playground, lake, and trampoline, plus good breakfast and clean WCs and showers. The price was reasonable, and someone suggested a walk around the area, so we picked the Blue route. We liked it all a lot and will definitely come back. One downside, through no fault of the campsite, was that some neighbors were noisy late into the night and played movies loudly. Please respect others and use headphones after 11 PM!

We stayed at the Stellplatz nearer the main road, one of two parts of the site, and found it great value and handy for the village. It was €21 for two adults for one night, with electricity available for an extra €3. We could use the lovely clean toilet and shower block, as well as the washing-up area. The staff were friendly, and we could order bread for the next day.
