We came back exhausted in the morning and were hurried to move our bus because it was blocking another vehicle. Since we arrived at 4 a.m., nobody had told us where to park. Our trip had already started badly: after a traffic accident delayed us, the front door was locked and the reception isn’t open around the clock. We got in and checked in only after calling hotel staff. At breakfast, some people in our group were sharply told they couldn’t take food away unless they paid extra. Staff should speak to guests politely. We weren’t planning to take much anyway. This was our first and last visit.

The rooms were comfortable and very tidy, and I had a fridge, microwave, and kettle in mine. The receptionist was incredibly helpful. It’s in a quiet suburban area, with Kaufland and Edeka about a 15-minute walk away. Parking is free, though finding a space can be difficult. Recommended.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and tidy, and the staff are friendly. There’s also a coffee machine in the room. The value is good for what you pay. The TV, though, seems 15-20 years old and is useless. The owners won’t replace it with a newer, usable smart TV. The beds could use better pillows, and getting around takes a bit of walking: the nearest bus stop is 15 minutes away on foot, and the train station is 28 minutes away.

My room was clean and really spacious for a budget hotel, and luckily it was one of the few with a fan. It just moved the hot air around, though. There’s no air conditioning anywhere, which isn’t pleasant during a heat wave. Bringing luggage in can be awkward if you’re not parked in the basement garage, since there’s no ramp. Best to park temporarily in the basement and use the elevator with your bags. Otherwise you pay 9 euros. That feels a bit steep for a village location, especially since a property in central Nürnberg charged 10 euros.
