They were very accommodating with check-in times, and even let us wax our cross-country skis. On request, they provided a diaper changing mat and baby bed for an additional 15€. Breakfast was good too. I loved the place and would definitely choose it again when I'm in Ruhpolding.

I've stayed here three times, mostly for business, and enjoyed it every time. It feels like a home away from home, and it's also a great base for families who want to enjoy the area around Ruhpolding. Breakfast is great, but the hotel doesn't serve dinner. Anyone complaining about dinner here has either reviewed the wrong hotel or been paid by competitors. I highly recommend the place!

We came from Ireland on a recent visit to Ruhpolding and stayed at the Alte Sage. Stefanie and Harry were extremely friendly and helpful, and Stefanie, who speaks perfect English, was always available with information, tips, and directions. The location beside the river was great, the room was super, breakfast was super, and everything was spotless. Highly, highly recommended. Best holiday ever.

Breakfast was top notch, with a great choice of cold cuts, cheese, yogurts, Müsli, bread, eggs, toast, coffee, and tea. It kept me going until I got home in the late afternoon. My room was nice and large, though the shower was tiny. The TV was small too, but who cares? It's a very nice place to stay, easy to find and close to the center of Ruhpolding. The reception was really friendly, and they quickly helped me reserve a seat at a local restaurant. I'll try to stay here again when I'm in the area.

A clean, rustic hotel with very clean rooms and plenty of space. There were rails for drying wet ski wear, and the staff were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. I'd visit again.
