Hotel Steffl

This was just what we needed for active days, with a great base for bike rides and hikes. We stayed for a long weekend in October 2023 and were very happy with it. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating, tried to fulfill every wish, shared lots of excursion tips, and were great to talk with. Breakfast was modest in size but delicious, and they’ll make scrambled eggs fresh if you ask. Our room was a good size and very clean, with a balcony where we could relax. The lovingly landscaped garden was another nice place to spend time, and we enjoyed the last October sunshine on the loungers. We brought our bikes, and the hosts offered us their garage so we didn’t have to leave them on the car. We could lock them up there, which worked perfectly. The value for money was truly excellent.

We’ll definitely book here again. It’s a peaceful spot just a five-minute walk from town, with restaurants and all sorts of shops. Since the hotel isn’t right in the center, there’s no traffic or hustle and bustle outside, and there’s always a parking space right in front. This was our second stay, and the quality hasn’t slipped at all. The whole hotel and the rooms are spotlessly clean, breakfast is plentiful with something for everyone, and the staff are attentive. They’re also incredibly friendly and helpful with excursions and interesting sights. We’ve always had a very peaceful stay, with absolutely nothing to complain about.

We had a wonderful long weekend and will definitely come back. The family-run guesthouse is about a 10-minute walk from the town center, and we got the warmest welcome we’ve ever had at a place to stay. Our room had a large south-facing balcony with a beautiful mountain view. In the morning, there was a thoughtfully prepared buffet with high-quality organic products and delicious coffee. The service was exceptionally good. The rooms were very clean, and the staff were always friendly and helpful, sharing lots of tips for excursions and restaurants. The free shuttle to Ruhpolding train station was also a nice bonus. There’s a small private wellness area too. The sauna costs €9 per person for a two-hour session.

We’re a family of three and stayed five nights. The balcony view was breathtaking, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the private parking was convenient. The hotel is well located, close to everything, and we were very satisfied. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and attentive, and breakfast was varied and delicious. We’d love to come back. It’s a family-run hotel where you feel comfortable. The rooms are well kept and thoughtfully designed, and the owners are always ready to meet guests’ wishes. Highly recommended.
