Ar Airport Hotel Rüsselsheim

The bathroom was the worst part: an overflowing bin, an outlet hanging out of the wall, a flush plate that fell off when touched, and dirty, stained surfaces. The toilet was brown inside, with red underneath the seat. As a man, I could at least use it standing up. Sitting down would surely have left me with souvenirs. The shower door had mold visible through the glass, the corners inside were stained and rusty, and there were huge damp patches on the ceiling. In the room, the carpet was stained, the lock was hanging halfway off its holder and was dirty, and the desk had stains and food scraps. The bin hadn’t been emptied. The fridge hummed away, iced up inside, with food remnants in it. There were cobwebs on the walls, and trash with about a centimeter of dust piled on the wardrobe. The hall carpet was stained too, the hallways were dirty, and some doors were broken. Walking in was an immediate “oh my god...” moment. There was a humming noise all night. It kept coming back, got louder, and lasted about 10 minutes each time. Sounded like a fan struggling. Check-in was online only, with nobody there. I reluctantly stayed one night. It’s disgusting that a place like this can operate as a hotel in Germany. The owners should be punished and the place shut down. Don’t book it.

We had to move rooms more than once during our stay, which was completely unacceptable. After we complained, we were moved from the first room, but the next one wasn’t much better: it had a TV but no cable connection. Then the door to the room upstairs wouldn’t open, so we had to take our luggage downstairs and move yet again. The first room had no hairdryer or kettle, and the TV didn’t even have a remote. There were crumbs all over the floor, grime smeared on the bathroom walls, and chocolate left by previous guests on the bedside table. Worst of all, there was men’s underwear and some money left in the room by a previous guest. That made it obvious the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. It was disgusting and unacceptable. Everything felt neglected, chaotic, and badly organized. Hygiene, facilities, and service were well below what I’d expect even from a basic hotel. We’ve never had a stay like this and were extremely disappointed. We can’t recommend it at all.

The central spot in Rüsselsheim worked well for both business and leisure trips, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Our room was clean and the staff were friendly. We really enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend it.

The location was okay, but this place was far from clean, with cobwebs around. I called the person who was supposedly responsible about the noise, the disturbance, and the broken TV. Someone was meant to come by. Two hours later, the noise was still there.
