Apartment Rust UG

It’s in a great spot near Europa-Park and Rulantica, and you can get to either by car, on foot, or by bus. The owners speak several languages, French included. The apartment is clean, functional, and laid out well. The bedroom has comfortable beds, linens, and a TV. There’s a hairdryer, towels, and toilet paper in the bathroom. The kitchen has a stovetop, Senseo coffee machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a small refrigerator.

At first, the apartment seemed like a good deal. It was clean and well maintained, furnished like a single apartment, and had what I needed. The basement room stays pleasantly cool in summer. There’s an outdoor table and two chairs with an ashtray, candle, and a few plants. Smoking is allowed outside only. The kitchen has a Senseo pod machine, microwave, two-burner cooktop, fridge with freezer compartment, dishes, pots and pans, kettle, and toaster. Coffee, sugar, tea, pepper, a can opener, grater, spatula, and two bowls were there too. The TV is small and older, but adequate. It has SCART, USB 2.0, RCA, and two HDMI ports, which could come in handy in bad weather. Around 8 PM, I measured 55 Mbps download and 40 Mbps upload from the advertised 100 Mbps, which was perfectly enough. The narrow stairs are about a meter wide and have 11 narrow steps. You’re asked to leave the apartment swept clean and replace anything damaged, both of which seem perfectly normal. Later that evening, I started noticing flaws and took photos straight away: a loose door handle, a big gap in the front door, and other small issues. I also couldn’t find the hairdryer mentioned on the website. That wasn’t much of a problem for me as a man. The bathroom has mold above the shower, which is a downside. I suspect it’s because there’s no window. I’m still optimistic, since the price is really good for this little apartment, and if you can overlook the minor issues, it’s a decent place to stay.
