Gstehaus Gertrud Moog

This is a fine place for two families, one of three and one of four people. It’s a very large apartment, furnished in an authentically German style, with direct access from the living room to the garden and terrace. There are two large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, each with a toilet, sink, and small shower, plus a small bedroom. The living room has a sofa and two dining tables with chairs, and the kitchen is well equipped. The small freezer is in the living room, unfortunately. On warm days it’s reasonably manageable if you use the shutters smartly and air the place out when it’s cool. Air conditioning would be ideal, as would a separate toilet in the hallway.

We keep coming back to Fr. Moog's guesthouse and are always made to feel welcome. It’s an ideal short walk to Europa-Park. The rooms are simple but clean, with a TV and small bathroom. There’s a lounge with a large TV and a refrigerator stocked with different drinks, and a garden to sit in during summer. Breakfast is ample and good, better than at some hotels. We highly recommend it.

The breakfast was excellent, and the description is right, you practically stumble straight into Europa Park. The accommodation was great and clean, though the decor does bring the early 80s to mind.

A wonderful experience overall, and the apartment was comfortable and well equipped. I’d rate it four stars, or five if the kitchen had a small freezer. Just a refrigerator isn’t enough in the hot summer months.
