Hotel Colosseo

The breakfast had lots of choices, and the service was quick. We broke a glass in our room, called, and someone arrived three minutes later to clean it up. The location was perfect, close to the park, and the room was very comfortable. It was baby friendly too, with a baby bed and some snacks for babies provided. There’s also a great play area for kids.

What keeps bringing us back is the feeling that every visit makes lasting memories. We’ve been coming to Europa-Park Resort Hotels once or twice a year for more than 15 years, and even after staying in nearly all the suites as a family, it still feels special each time. Our son loves it, and the magic works just as well for grown-ups. There’s such rare attention to detail, and the spa, hotels, and park are each wonderful on their own and unbeatable together. Quality is high throughout, the staff are friendly, attentive, and very professional, the food is consistently excellent, and everything is spotless. Honestly, it’s better than Disneyland. There’s no comparison. This is more than a hotel or theme park, it’s somewhere we want to keep returning to, almost forever. Thank you to the management and whole team for keeping this level up for so many years. That takes real passion. We’ll be back, as always, and very happily. Thank you for everything.

During my four-night stay, the room was never made up, even though I left the door hanger out and reminded reception. Then at 11am on checkout day, housekeeping knocked and opened the door anyway when I called out to wait. I was in the toilet. Isn’t checkout at 12pm internationally? They seemed in a rush to get me out, but the room hadn’t been serviced once. The service quality could be better.

The good part was the front desk customer service, which is why I’ve given two stars. The restaurant experience at Hotel Colosseo at Europa-Park was disappointing, though, especially for our 6-year-old son’s birthday. We’d arranged the cake ahead of time, but it seemed old and didn’t taste fresh. When it came out, the manager simply put it in front of him, without a candle, sparkle, or any acknowledgment of the occasion. We asked about singing “Happy Birthday,” and there was a noticeable hesitation, even though the staff clearly spoke English. For a child celebrating at Europa-Park, a cake without even one candle, and one that didn’t seem fresh, felt thoughtless and short on basic hospitality. It was a missed chance to make a simple, meaningful moment feel magical.
