We felt very comfortable at this wonderful project and are happy to recommend it. Thank you for a lovely stay. It’s an unusual, very peaceful place, and the mix of original features and modern touches gives it a distinctive atmosphere that may not suit everyone. Breakfast comes in a basket that you collect yourself, at least if you’re in an upstairs apartment like we were. There’s room to improve that part, perhaps with a clear, easy-to-use list for guests and staff to arrange the next morning’s order or requests.

We spent three nights at the Kranich Hotel and really enjoyed it. The place has its own character, so you need to be open to the atmosphere. It's very quiet and works well for cycling. Breakfast came to the room on trays, and there was plenty of it. It was delicious.

There’s an international art collection here alongside the hotel rooms. The building itself is really interesting, set within the Hessenburg manor house in the middle of a lovely park.
