We're back for our second stay, and it feels like coming home. Hotel am Market has a lovely German charm, and the Ungarischen Restaurant serves amazing Goulasch and Gurken-Salad. The staff are fabulous, and the gemütlichkeit is even better. There's a great variety of dishes, so we highly recommend the restaurant. If you're looking for a great place to stay, you've found it. We came from Canada to Rügen for the second time and really enjoy staying at Puszta and Hotel am Markt, as well as eating in the Restaurant. The meals are delicious and truly homemade, and the staff are so friendly. It's a family-run business. For a fabulous German experience, this is the place. Ingrid and Bohdan, Victoria, BC Canada

We had Hungarian dishes from the owner in the evening, and they were delicious. Breakfast was generous, and the women looking after it were happy to chat and suggest things to do. They’re local and seem to care about making guests feel looked after. The hotel is small and family-run, with a cozy dining room and clean, practical rooms. I felt more at home here than I have in almost any hotel. The station is walkable, Sassnitz is a short drive, and buses from there reach the island’s main sights. We’ve already booked for next year. It’ll be hard to leave!

The staff were really friendly and attentive, and they sorted out a couple of small problems straight away. The room and breakfast were both okay. A handy base for seeing Rügen.
