The place looked nothing like I expected from the photos and reviews. Outside, there were old leaves, rubbish, and broken things scattered about. Inside, we found dirty dishes, no bin bags, and had to bring our own sponges and dish brushes. There was a big stain on the sofa and cushions, and cigarette butts had filled the gutters. We never got our spa cards, and the power was cut at 8 a.m. on our final day. Nobody answered our calls. Such a letdown.

The one thing going for the apartment was how close it was to the beach. The place was cold, the heating never got properly warm, and the hallway light and TV weren't working. We were told the TV fault should be fixed the next day. There was mold in the bathroom and bedroom, dirty dishes, and the kettle was black inside. Outside, the apartment looked badly maintained, with rubbish lying around, and the cleanliness indoors was poor too. We cut our short trip short and went home. The landlady offered a 50% refund, which still hasn't arrived, and we paid for tourist cards that we never received. We can't recommend it.

The location is good, and the apartment has a fair amount of space. But the poor impression from outside carried on indoors: sand was all over half the apartment and the table, and the dishes in the cupboard were dirty. We also can't see how six adults could sleep there, since the second bed is a sofa.

The apartment at Stöckel 2 is tastefully decorated and has room for four. The bathroom can only be reached through the bedroom, which is awkward when someone on the sofa bed needs to get through at night. The rooms were very clean, though there were lots of visible cobwebs. The landlady is really friendly, but I wish she could be reached sooner.
