The view from our room deserves more than five stars, and the hosts do too. We stayed with Alex and Kristin from Saturday to Thursday and were completely happy. The food was delicious, and there was always plenty of it...😁 The scales back home back that up. We'll return. Oliver & Julia with the 2 dogs.

We've returned to Pension Fernblick for several years and have always been happy with our stays. The owners are warm and hospitable, and while the rooms aren't huge, they're nicely furnished and clean. There's plenty to eat: breakfast has a tasty buffet with something for everyone, and dinner is always delicious and generous. If you have a food intolerance or don't care for something, you can request an alternative in advance. There's also more available if the portions don't fill you up. Each morning, a small note gives the dinner details along with the weather forecast. The owners know the area well and are glad to share suggestions. We feel at home there and are looking forward to our next vacation.

We gave five stars mainly because the value for money is so good. The owners are incredibly friendly, and the number of returning guests made it clear that people are happy here. The rooms have a bit of a 1970s feel and could use some updates. Breakfast exceeded what we expected for the price: the coffee from the machine was delicious, and the fresh bakery rolls mattered a lot to us. We had half-board, and dinner was served every evening. The kids loved it, and Alex came up with a special vegetarian dish for my wife every night. We spent several nice hours each evening in the cozy restaurant and on the terrace. Our legendary evening was the bonfire and stick bread, with almost all the guests celebrating together until late. There are plenty of lakes for swimming and outings, so there’s lots to do. We’d recommend it if you’re fine with older rooms and a few limitations.
