Seelotsenstation Sassnitz

We spent a week in the Hafenmeister apartment at the start of December. It was beautifully and thoughtfully furnished, and Mr. Stoll, the property manager, made the handover very easy. We'd happily stay again.

The panoramic roof terrace has one of the best views in the city, and mornings in the maisonette apartment were especially lovely because of the view. The stairs were a bit challenging for me, but well worth it. Of all the vacation rentals we've tried while visiting my dad in Sassnitz each year, this was our favorite. It was spotless, and the friendly staff responded quickly. Wi-Fi, a washer-dryer, underfloor heating, and a steam sauna made the week even better. We did miss having an oven, though there was a good coffee maker with a grinder, plus a microwave and toaster. We'd love to return.

From the apartment, it's just a few steps to the promenade, and there's private parking. The Wi-Fi was excellent, and our communication with the landlord went smoothly. We loved the maisonette and its great views over the harbor and Baltic Sea. It had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

The roof terrace has an amazing view, and the place was basically solid, but cobwebs throughout made it feel less than inviting. The living room lighting also had a small issue, the extractor fan light didn't work. What really spoiled things was a call on the evening we left accusing us of tearing up a cushion. Our dog has its own bed and doesn't damage cushions, but I wasn't believed and was told not to use that tactic. Outrageous. I was also told I should pay the tourist tax when leaving, and someone was meant to contact me about it. Nothing has happened so far. It was a pleasant stay in some ways, but no more than that. Being accused of damaging a cushion left me feeling awful after the holiday.
