Really nice spot.
The walk around Schaprode was a highlight, with its old fishing-village feel and thatched houses. Our break at Hotel Schafshorn was lovely too: my dog and I felt at home, the cozy single room had what I needed, and the staff were kind and attentive. Breakfast had plenty of choice, and dogs can come into the breakfast room, which you don't often find at hotels. We also enjoyed our trips to Hiddensee and Cape Arkona and a beach day on the north shore. All well worth it. I'd happily come back.
Schaprode feels quaint and authentic, and it's well worth seeing. Hiddensee is just a short hop away, too. We felt very comfortable at this simple, cozy little hotel in a lovely setting. The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was very good.
Breakfast came with a direct view over a huge field, which was fantastic. The hotel is friendly and very clean, and they have all the information you need for getting to other places. I like staying here because the ferry to Hiddensee leaves from here. There's sea views, lots of forest and water, so it's great for hiking. Stralsund and the chalk cliffs are only 30 km away. The spot is especially good with kids, with a little beach not far away and a nice lawn out front. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and plentiful, and there was room for everyone. We stayed four days last weekend and found the hotel small, cozy and well equipped. Everything was clean, and the rooms were comfortable. The team was so kind, especially the owner, who became best friends with our little one 😆. They did their best to accommodate every request despite the difficult times. Each room also has its own parking space. We'd love to return! 😉
