Beach Chalet

This was a complete rip-off, a way to make money from an unfinished, dirty place. These chalets are basically workers' break rooms: camp beds, tiny rooms, and heaters damaged by fire that don't even warm the place. If we'd stayed much longer, we would've frozen. Nothing was finished, and it's right beside the highway. The line about needing a ticket to get through the barrier was funny, since it was open and anyone could drive in. Reception had nothing to do with it, but what is it even there for? I don't know what kind of trashy place this is, but it should be closed!!!!! NOT RECOMMENDED, DO NOT BOOK.

The chalet doesn't even match the picture. There's no roof. The hot water boiler is broken, so the shower keeps switching from hot to cold and is practically unusable, with a risk of scalding. The toilet brush handle is snapped off, leaving just a stub. It's cramped, too, with beds and dining chairs packed in for a place designed for 6 people. The landlord didn't keep to the agreement. The TV had been broken for several weeks, and with the poor Wi-Fi, we were offered a €75 discount, but only if we had at least 9 good reviews on the booking portal. We weren't comfortable with that. There was no one to contact on-site, and reception said they weren't responsible for these bungalows because they belong to another landlord. After some back and forth, we agreed to leave by 11:00 AM and pay for just one night plus final cleaning. We booked a different chalet directly at reception and moved, but then the landlord withdrew the offer.

The area was lovely for our dog, with woods all around and a small kiosk on the property. It was about a 20-minute walk to the beach. We could bring our dog for €20 per week. The cottage is small, but perfectly adequate if you don't plan to spend the whole holiday indoors. The kitchen had a few basics, including spices, plates, cutlery, pots, and cooking utensils.

Simple, lovely, and well cared for. I'd happily come back.
