Scharbeutz is a really great place, and we’ll come back there, just not to this apartment. We rented the ground-floor apartments 1 and 3 at Haus Windrose, Strandallee 122, including the conservatory. The location is great, with everything easy to reach on foot. But the apartments are quite dated, and many things didn’t work. The patio, conservatory, and interior doors were hard to close. We couldn’t connect the DVD player to the TV because the cable was missing. The listing mentioned an electric grill, so we expected to be able to grill outside, but there wasn’t one. There was only a very small oven grill in the smaller apartment, so we bought a disposable grill. Neither apartment had a proper oven, though there was a dishwasher. A complete renovation would help, and the apartment description should be updated.

The location was excellent and the apartment itself was fine, but cleanliness needs a lot of work. We brought our dog, but I still expect the previous guest’s dog hair to be cleaned up. The sofa and bed both smelled strongly of dogs. The bedroom mattresses also urgently need replacing.
