Bürger- und Berggasthaus Scheibenberg

We were seven for lunch on January 31, 2026, and the mountain inn made a great first impression on us. The food was carefully prepared, tasty, and there was plenty of it. The staff were friendly and knew what they were doing. The setting on Scheibenberg is idyllic, with its striking rock formations and lovely hikes in both winter and summer. On clear days, the observation tower gives you a fantastic view of the Ore Mountains, and there’s a small shop there run separately. We all left completely satisfied.

We locals from the Spreewald region were thrilled with our lunches on both Christmas holidays, and we’d happily recommend the place. The restaurant is cozy, and cleanliness clearly matters here. The food was excellent, with incredibly friendly service. The waitress with the dark red braid deserves a special mention. I’d booked two days ahead and got a very friendly phone call to confirm the reservation. When we arrived, the experience exceeded what we’d expected. 👍👍

The food was good, the staff friendly, and the restrooms clean when I visited Scheibenberg on a Monday. I was glad the mountain inn was open, since it’s closed Wednesdays and Thursdays. The observation tower next door was shut that Monday, though. I think its opening days should match the inn’s.

Everything had been prepared perfectly when we arrived for a funeral reception we’d reserved. The friendly, attentive staff looked after us very well during our stay, and everything suited us completely. Thank you so much.
