You can pick up the beer they make right at their shop, and there’s a grocery store close by too. The old monastery setting and peaceful surroundings really make this place feel calm. Rooms are pretty simple, but there’s lots of parking.

Mosquitoes were all over the room, and the church bell rang every 15 minutes through the night, so sleep was difficult. The staff weren’t friendly. Parking is uncertain too: you might find a public spot near the hotel, otherwise you have to look along the roads yourself. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The restaurant food was very good, and breakfast had a good range of options, though the coffee wasn’t great and the buffet cost €15. We were here for one night for a reunion with former students from the vocational high school. The bed was comfortable, but there was nowhere to store things in the room. The shower was tiny, with just a 30 cm entrance into a 60 cm wide area, and no shelves apart from the toilet seat.
