The restaurant food was so good that we ate dinner there both nights. We stayed in one of the Premium Plus Lodges, and it was cozy, luxurious, and even better than we’d hoped. On arrival, dog plates were set out with a water and food bowl for each of our dogs. Such a thoughtful welcome for our four-legged family members.

The staff at the Harzresort were super friendly and helpful. Our house felt cozy and modern, everything was clean and worked well, and we had a lovely little holiday there.

Schierke is a small town with beautiful scenery, a lovely example of the beauty of German towns. It’s a good starting point for a day trip into the Harz mountains. You can have lunch in town or book somewhere to stay.
