Haus "Brockenhexe"

The river was right outside our window at Bodegrund, and we loved having a little terrace and a small front garden where our dog could get used to things quietly. We spent the autumn holidays here, and the fresh air felt great, even with my allergies. The river sounds were a highlight. The place has a rustic, welcoming feel. Shops and restaurants are an easy walk away, and Schierke gives you straightforward access to the Brocken trail, along with plenty to do in town. One thing to bear in mind: the parking space fits two cars, but it can be awkward if one is an SUV or someone parks badly. There’s another spot across the road. The rental company was friendly and communication was excellent. We were very happy and will be back. Highly recommended!

We’ve already booked another visit to Brockenhexe. This was our third stay, once in Apartment Frieda and twice in Apartment Walter, and each time we felt right at home. Both apartments are cozy, thoughtfully furnished, and well equipped. The rooftop terraces are especially nice, and the fireplace in Apartment Walter is a real pleasure in winter. Mrs. Vesterling is a warm and helpful hostess.

The landlady was so nice, and the Frida apartment had everything we needed for our three days. For walks with a dog, it’s great: just head out the door and you’re off. PUG shopping center is about an 8-minute walk away. We’ll definitely come back.

We used the Frieda holiday apartment for a week, and it was a cozy place to come back to after hiking. The landlady was very friendly and accommodating, and the apartment makes a great starting point for hikes.
