It was the people here who made the stay so special. Every request was met with a smile and a laugh, and they made us feel completely at ease, almost like we were having dinner at a friend's place. We were staying here because a friend was getting married, and our first night was fantastic, with brilliant food. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. I was genuinely sad to leave. We'll come back and show our kids the the night shadow plants.

The restaurant was packed at lunch and in the evenings while we were there, and the food and atmosphere were first class. It's a lovely little family hotel in a small village, with very good hiking nearby. We don't want to stay in a room where a dog may have slept in the bed, or eat beside a table with a dog smell. It's hard enough to find hotels that don't allow dogs, so our tip is to check the hotel's own website as well as Booking.com and make sure the policies match. That could save an awkward confrontation with the owner. Not everyone sees a dog as a child. This hotel does not allow pets.

The food is always delicious, fresh, and local. The owners have such big hearts, and they treat you like family when you come here.

The sauerkraut, fried potatoes with bacon, and spaetzle were delicious!
