The cottage is in a quiet spot, slightly uphill in Schleswig, with the center and several supermarkets still easy to reach. We always found a place to park on the street. In summer 2023 we had a wonderful holiday there with our two sons. The garden was our own, and the house was lovely, renovated and decorated beautifully. The owners were welcoming and everything was organized smoothly. We went on lots of trips in every direction, as well as taking lovely bike rides around the Schlei fjord. To the west we visited the beach at St. Peter-Ording, Westerhever Lighthouse, Husum and Friedrichstadt. We went north to Flensburg and Denmark, east to Eckernförde, Sieseby and Kappeln, and south to Rendsburg for the transporter bridge and the "NordArt" exhibition. For cake, the slices at Stubbe fruit farm in Rieseby and "Das Kuchenhaus" in Brodersby-Goltoft were delicious. "Café Lindauhof" in the country doctor's house is another tip.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the house is close to the center while still being peaceful. It's charmingly furnished and has everything you need.
