The residential setting was a nice change from the usual youth hostel location, and we could head straight out for walks. Schliersee is about 3 km away for swimming, with buses available too. We stayed five days as a family and had what we needed: clean facilities, friendly people, a common room with coffee and tea, games and magazines, plus a stream outside where the kids could play. I also made good use of the washer and dryer, though you have to go to Schliersee, roughly 5 km away, to buy detergent. I’d stay here again.

Dinner and breakfast were fresh and delicious, and our room was clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. The staff were professional and made an effort to help. We felt very welcome, and it worked perfectly for our family with children. We really enjoyed our stay.

There was plenty of parking, and the bus connection to the Schliersee - Tegernsee ski resort was good. The rooms, toilets, and showers were clean, the food was very good, and the staff were really nice. I’d recommend this place!

After waiting for three hours, our rooms still hadn’t been cleaned. The food wasn’t great either, far too salty.
