A small gem in the Mecklenburg countryside, with lakes and nature reservoirs all around. It has the feel of an upscale boutique hotel, and the food is superb. I had an excellent stay and plan to go back.

Stopped for an incredible lunch while biking to Copenhagen. I’d like to stay here next time.

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, which I think has a lot to do with owners Tina and Axel. The rooms and hotel are beautifully decorated, with so much care in the details that it feels almost like home. The food was excellent, and we especially enjoyed the tapas evening and the broad choice of drinks. We’ll definitely be back in summer.

The rooms are all different, and in my opinion they’re quiet even on the main road side, which gives the place a distinctive feel. The welcome is friendly, and at dinner we didn’t feel out of place because we weren’t the only ones eating at our table. Breakfast was generous and varied, with fresh products each time. Coffee was straightforward filter coffee, no fuss and no waiting in a long line at a machine that probably wouldn’t fit anyway. And the kitchen was uniquely good: the chef seasoned everything just right, neither too mild nor too spicy. We got to enjoy his cooking on Good Friday and again on Easter Sunday with the Easter menu. Complaining about no toiletries in the shower seems unfair. As the name says, this is a Bed & Breakfast, not a hotel.
