Aparthotel Sonnenburg

We really enjoyed the duplex room “D” with its two bedrooms and master suite upstairs. For our family of five, finding good hotel rooms can be a challenge, so having a kitchenette and a nicely furnished living room was useful. We spent our evenings there after the kids fell asleep. Breakfast was traditional German fare: different cheeses and meats, fruit, some vegetables, cereal, coffee, and tea. The bread was fresh and the team was nice. Internet cost €5 per day, which the teenager in our group wasn’t too happy about.

The restaurant in the annex is run by the same family, and the food was tasty. The staff there were friendly and professional. We had a fantastic room with three rooms and two bathrooms, so the kids had lots of space to play. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped. It’s a very friendly, family-run aparthotel in a good location around Schluchsee. We’d definitely recommend it.

There are plenty of places to eat nearby, and the hotel restaurant serves nice food too. The apartments are spacious, clean, and well equipped, and the staff were very friendly.

Even with all the heaters switched off, our top-floor apartment was a little warm. It was very clean and fairly modern, with lots of plates and other kitchen things.
