The unexpected bonus was a free pass for lots of local attractions. I believe that’s included with stays of two nights or longer. Everyone was attentive and helpful, always smiling, and the place was clean.

The south-facing terrace is a cozy spot, and the cakes in the cafe are worth the trip. They’re all homemade, as are the jams and the selection there. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, the prices reasonable, and the owners very friendly. It’s a lovely guesthouse in a quiet, beautiful setting, with nicely renovated rooms. Highly recommended.
A great place to stop after a hike. This chic, modern cafe still feels cozy, almost like a hidden gem near Schluchsee in the Black Forest. The coffee was delicious, and the fresh cakes and everything else on the menu seemed lovingly prepared. I’m already looking forward to coming back.
We got lots of useful tips about things to do nearby, and there are plenty of good restaurants close to the guesthouse. The Rothaus Brewery and the "Hüsli" (small farm) are only a few minutes away by car, as are Schluchsee and Titisee. It’s a great base for visiting the Southern Black Forest, Schluchsee, Titisee, and Feldberg. The place is very well run and clean, with freshly renovated rooms, including family rooms, a good breakfast, and reasonable prices. We’ll be back!
The hostess is so welcoming and notices every little detail, which makes it easy to feel at home. The rooms are excellent, and the house-made coffee is a treat for the eyes as well as the taste. Families with kids are very welcome. Highly recommended.
