The place looks neat and clean, and it's in a peaceful spot. One thing to consider before booking: the owner, Jan Abicht, serves in the Thuringian state parliament for the AfD (Alternative for Germany). If your host's political views matter to you, you may want to factor that in.

We'd happily stay here again. The landlords were really friendly, and the rooms were spotless with everything we needed. It's peaceful here, while still being close to both the city center and the university.

The breakfast was superb, and the landlady was warm and accommodating. We found a nearby restaurant with good food and a lovely beer garden, too. The room was clean and very nice, and our bikes could be kept safely in a shed. We had no complaints at all. We stayed at the Sonnenhof guesthouse during our cycling tour along the Werra River. Best wishes from both of us, the two cyclists from Hochheim am Main who arrived on September 15, 2020.

The price is reasonable, and you could easily stay here longer and take care of yourself. The apartments have a modern feel with a bit of rustic charm. Everything's provided, from the kitchen and bathroom to the dining, living, and sleeping areas. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Great accommodation.
