Feldmann-Schütte

I stayed on my own in the Lenne apartment. It looked just like the website photos, was very well maintained, and had furniture that looked almost new. The hosts were lovely too.

I booked the vacation apartment for two nights through booking.com, but then I couldn't make the trip. I told Ms. Feldmann-Schütte in advance, though I didn't cancel the booking. After a couple of emails, she suddenly stopped replying. I've asked several times about getting the booking amount back minus the cancellation fee, but neither she nor booking.com has responded at all. This is about a €70 refund that, under the booking policies of this disreputable company, should be paid. Ms. Feldmann-Schütte is apparently taking this to court over €70, as if she won't hear from a lawyer or travel insurance company. What a shameful way to behave, utterly antisocial. My vacation has only just started, but once it's over I'll look into the matter and report how this whole ordeal gets resolved. It's a shame I have to give one star.

There’s a small general store just around the corner by the church, and for a meal you can try Lennemühle, which also serves Sunday breakfast, or the neighboring Gasthof Schütte. We stayed here for two nights and slept well. The photos match the place: simply but nicely furnished, with a little kitchenette, kettle, coffee maker, and toaster. Everything was very clean, and the owners were friendly. We could park our motorcycles in a garage in the courtyard.

The farm is lovely, with animals, and the family there is exceptionally nice. They even have a little girl named Bärbel! The holiday apartments are beautiful. Highly recommended.
