The courtyard gave the kids plenty of room to play and ride around, with children's vehicles available. The apartment was spotlessly clean, which matters a lot to me, and we all felt very comfortable. A lovely place for a family break, with friendly hosts, near Winterberg and within easy reach of other attractions.

The hosts were welcoming, thoughtful, and unobtrusive. Our boys got to feed the pigs and ride on the big tractor, a real highlight. As the only guests on the farm, we had its peaceful atmosphere, animals, and lovely corners all to ourselves. The children had plenty to do, from Bobby Cars, balance bikes, and pedal diggers to go-karts and scooters, all in very good condition. There’s also a nicely designed playhouse with a terrace, where parents can relax at a large table under a parasol. The boys especially loved the large new trampoline, which we could watch from a sun lounger next to the horse paddock. You can easily spend a whole day here with children without them getting bored. The farm is also well placed for excursions. The apartment itself is lovingly furnished with high-quality items, and everything needed is provided. They can also supply child equipment such as a cot and highchair. Definitely recommend it!

We spent a few lovely, peaceful days away from Winterberg’s hustle and bustle, and would love to return next year. We were four cycling buddies here for the Dirt Masters race. The host’s mother gave us a very warm welcome, and the apartment was spotless and brand new, with freshly made beds, plenty of towels, and everything else we needed. On the second evening we met Mr. Schütte, who was friendly and happy to help with questions. He offered bread delivery, and grilling with our small portable gas grill was fine. Just watch out for the resident dog, or it’ll snatch your meat! 😁😁 There was a lockable room for bikes, which also doubles as a children’s playroom. A real hidden gem.

Guest comfort clearly matters here, with sensible investments and heating that keeps the place warm without being turned down. The apartment is very clean, modern, and ideal for older couples without children. That modern feel means it doesn’t have the usual apartment charm of the 60s and 70s.
