If you’re coming by car to enjoy the nature, this place is worth considering. It’s in a small village, with no nearby restaurants besides Gasthof Zwilling and no supermarkets close by, so you may need to drive about 8 kms. We liked the friendly host, who speaks English, German, and Dutch, and the room had a good amount of space. The bathroom and toilet were small, but had all the basics. There’s also a toy room, and the neighborhood is calm. Dinner and breakfast were good in both quality and quantity. The WiFi was hard to connect to. I understand the connection may be slow in a village, but we had trouble connecting to the router itself.

After all that craziness in the snow, this was a comfortable, cheap place to relax. It’s about 18 km from winterberg, a bit far away, but breakfast is included, so 40€ for a night is perfect.

We had a great hide-out for a bunch of friends, with welcoming, kind staff. There’s a well equipped playroom for kids, plus a "kegelbaan". Highly recommended!

The food is generous and delicious, and the prices for both the stay and meals are perfectly reasonable. The owner is very friendly and accommodating, and if you ask nicely, you can even park your motorcycle somewhere dry. This is the friendliest, best inn, and I’d definitely recommend it.
