It’s an excellent spot if you want to ski in Winterberg, less than 20 minutes away. We also really enjoyed the delicious breakfast and the charming, cozy guesthouse. The service was incredibly friendly, and we had a wonderful stay at Pension Bergfrieden.

The price is reasonable, and there are drinks in the refrigerator in the breakfast room. There’s no dinner served, so I had a simple cold meal in my room. To eat in the village, you need to travel about 9 km and deal with a considerable difference in altitude. The breakfast is very complete, and my room, bed, bathroom, and seating area were all clean. The welcome was friendly. If you value peace and quiet, you’ll feel at home here.

Dogs are very welcome here, and we’re already looking forward to returning. We had a lovely weekend with our large group, enjoying delicious food, a superb breakfast, and a great hike followed by a covered wagon ride. A fantastic guesthouse that really has everything you could want! 😊

We were a large group at Pension Bergfrieden and had a wonderful weekend. The hiking trails were excellent, the views stunning, and our rooms comfortable. The food was fantastic, too. The owner and her son took care of everything with such kindness, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. It’s a lovely place for a relaxing holiday surrounded by nature, and dogs are welcome. This is easily the best guesthouse I’ve stayed in. If I could give it more stars, I would! Thanks for such a great weekend! 🤩

The hostess and her family run the guesthouse with real passion, and dogs are welcome too. Rooms are clean and thoughtfully furnished, so you feel at home. It’s a great base for hiking or simply relaxing in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Highly recommended.
