The staff were exceptionally friendly, and there was a cozy bar 🍺. Our room was clean and roomy, though its style felt straight out of the 80s. Finding it was a bit like navigating a maze, but the signs got us there in the end.

Breakfast was disappointing apart from the decent rolls and the lactose-free milk, which was a nice option. The room itself was in very poor shape. It looked completely outdated, a picture was left on the floor, and the shower fittings had dark mold on them. The balcony door wouldn't tilt open or shut properly, letting in an intensely cold draft. I complained several times during the day before someone finally taped over the gap. The room still never got properly warm. The walls were so thin that arguments, shouting, and crying from the neighbors sounded as if they were right beside us. The bed was uncomfortable, with a gap down the middle, something I've never come across in a hotel. My back was hurting the next morning.

Everything went perfectly on our brief ski getaway.

The restaurant was good, and the staff were friendly. Beyond that, the place felt overpriced for what you get. The pool had rust and moss, one sauna was out of order, and the other wasn't even turned on. There was a huge backlog of renovation work in both the rooms and the wellness area. I booked on the spur of the moment and only learned when I arrived that 90% of the guests were visitors to the "healing cave" who believe it will ease their ailments. That may explain why there seemed to be so little criticism of the condition. They don't accept credit cards.
