The hotel itself was great, but we didn’t feel welcome at the restaurant and bar. The receptionist was really sweet and gave us helpful recommendations for the area. We tried dining and having drinks there on the first night, but the waiter came across as snobbish and clearly didn’t want to serve us. We know people can have bad days, but other reviews suggest we weren’t the only ones to experience this. We even asked if he wanted us to leave. A friendlier attitude would have made a big difference, and we’d have been happy to spend every night there. It’s a shame. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat and drink during your stay, this may not be the place for you.

The room was massive and clean, though I’m never keen on carpeting since it never feels clean to me. The kitchen was right beside it, and noisy pots and pans woke us at around 7:30. The swimming pool was nice, and there was a “gym.” We stayed two nights to visit the königsee and go on a few hikes. We were greeted warmly and got good help, and breakfast was good with prompt, kind service.

I had an amazing Bavarian plate here, and the portion was extremely generous. The waiter was attentive and helpful, too. Great rooms and awesome staff. This place is a gem, easily 5/5!

We loved the location, with lots of beautiful places just 10-20 minutes away by car. There are buses too, though we didn’t use them; the hotel offered to explain them in detail. Every evening we ate at a local restaurant, and the food was always delicious. The staff were kind without exception and always happy to answer questions or help with requests. We were very satisfied with the hotel and the services we used. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable and memorable. We’ll definitely come back.
