The owners are so welcoming, even though they only speak German. They still make things work, so not speaking German wasn't a problem for us. The house was clean and comfortable, with lovely scenery around it. A bakery and supermarket are both an easy walk away. I'd recommend it 10/10!

Such a cosy house, and the area around it is beautiful. A really great place to stay!

There’s plenty to explore nearby, from nature and castles to the area near Luxembourg. Shops are close, and the grounds have lots of parking and a small playground. The peaceful setting also makes it a good base for hiking, cycling, or motorcycle trips. I’ve come four times with friends for motorcycle tours, and we’ve had a fantastic time every visit.

The apartment’s balcony had a lovely view over the Eifel region and Schönecken, and there are well-marked hiking trails nearby. Inside, the kitchen is well equipped, while the bathroom, living room, and bedroom are all fine. There’s also a children’s room with bunk beds, and the living room has a TV, fireplace, sofa, and coffee table. It’s a good spot for a few days, with a bit of 70s charm. I’d recommend the holiday village, though some modernization is needed if it’s going to stay popular.

It’s a peaceful place to relax, and I’d give the hospitality five stars. The holiday village is lovely for children, with a playhouse where they can burn off energy even in bad weather. There’s a separate house with a washing machine, plus benches, chairs, loungers, and play equipment around the grounds. The apartment itself was another story. It was cold and damp when we arrived, with a strong musty smell, and a wide gap under the door let cold air keep coming in. We had to turn the heating up to compensate. The furnishings are very old and, to me, the place urgently needs renovating. One of the four stove burners was taped off and unusable, but nobody told us. There was no microwave, and a dishwasher would have been helpful too. I didn’t use the extractor hood because it was dirty, with visible grease. I cleaned things before using them, which was a real shame. Bed linen and towels are charged per person, which I didn’t like. Extra costs for electricity, water, gas, the dog, bed linen, and towels came to about 40 percent of the rent. That’s a lot of money. We had the apartment with a garage, where cleaning supplies and other things were stored. Whenever the garage door opened or closed, it sometimes made us sit bolt upright in bed. It happened every morning from 8 a.m. The bedroom was otherwise okay, but the curtains were see-through, so each morning we could barely shield ourselves from the view. Such a shame.
