The bathroom wasn't in our room, it was across the hall, so that kept us from giving five stars. Otherwise, nothing to complain about. This is a lovely little guesthouse that feels almost like a family home. The room was comfortable and nicely furnished, with books, a TV, pictures on the walls, a kettle, coffee and a bottle of water. There was also a lockable safe in the wardrobe. Thumbs up!

We left on the second day. This “guesthouse” wasn't worth the name or the money. We were three adults and had booked a single room and a double room for two nights in June 2016, for €210 total. It's a fairly large townhouse in a quiet neighborhood of detached homes, with neighbors watering lawns and barbecuing. It seems set up as a family home, with one bathroom and a guest toilet that Mr. Adam uses exclusively. When full, with rooms for one, two or three people, six guests share one shower and two sinks. The bathroom felt like someone's home, with the owner's toothbrushes, creams, washcloths and soap, only dirtier. Dirty towels were hanging on the hooks, and there was grime in the toilet. Downstairs, the coffee table had a half-empty beer glass and diabetic syringes on it, with slippers beside them. More medications were in the kitchen, and old jackets and sweaters were in the hallway. When we first arrived around 6:00 p.m., the dining table was already set for breakfast. The summer heat had clearly affected the cheese and cold cuts. Soon after, another family of three arrived to stay overnight.

The landlady called me one week before arrival to cancel a booking I'd made through Booking.com three months earlier. She said it was supposedly an accidental double booking. On the phone she was rude and dismissive, telling me I was simply out of luck. It seems likely that a more lucrative booking had come in for the accommodation in the meantime.

We weren't sure about having to share a bathroom, but there was no reason to worry. It's a family-run guesthouse in a quiet rural setting, while still being relatively close to the centre of Berlin.
