Our campervan stay was a pleasure, and the welcome made us feel right at home. The fees were very competitive. We spent our days on the forest paths, with easy access to a large lake, and even spotted deer and herons. The sunset was fantastic.

The natural setting is the best part, with amazing hiking nearby. We spent three nights on a tent pitch, though the close spacing made the site feel packed over the weekend. Check-in was automatic and went smoothly. The place has potential, but it isn't well maintained. Toilets were dirty in the mornings and some locks didn't work; the showers were okay. There were quite a few smokers, and dog poop was often around. One night the electricity went out across the site for 30 minutes, including in the toilets. With kids, be aware that there isn't much to keep them occupied. The small pool and playground are beyond the parking area, and children have to cross the road to get there, which didn't feel safe.

The lake is just a five-minute walk from the camping park, and our weekend in a barrel was nice. Inside, there were two benches, a pullout table and a raised bed. It was comfortable for two, and the bed was very comfy. The friendly receptionist let us check in around 1 pm. The barrels sit close to the main entrance and bathrooms, while the park itself feels pretty standard, with lots of RVs, cars and people. It was quiet at night, but the barrel got quite warm with only small windows. I wouldn't choose it in summer, spring or fall would be better.

They’re always polite and make you feel at home. The campsite is being renovated now, which should make an already good place even better.

The barrel was clean and really comfortable, and the owners and staff were so friendly. It's a great place to camp. I'm already thinking about coming back.
